We were a bit bemused by a client on Monday who referred to some of his workers as “African American” and “People of Color” yet he looked shocked when one of our agents asked him “So, how many colored people does your firm employ” (not that it matters). And “What part of Africa do your African-American employees hail from ?”
He had obviously succumbed to indoctrination of woke media; a form of mental neurosis but easily treatable.
We were also a bit concerned when we heard media and speaker echo chambers consistently chanting “person” or “people of color” when covering the DNC.
So we asked our client point blank “Why is it OK when you say ‘person of color’ but you think it a slur when I say ‘colored person’ ? Especially when the major political action organization formed for colored person advocacy (a by-definition racist organization) is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) ?”
Obviously he didn’t have a good answer. Nor does anyone else.
Part of indoctrination and control of a population is to control the language. To attempt to put sigma on particular terms in an arbitrary manner while approving certain types of ‘state sponsored’ phrasing. It’s a form of psychological manipulation designed to create feelings and stigma if one deviates away from speaking or writing ‘correctly’ as state sponsored and approved (and parroted by the propaganda media). Illegal aliens become ‘undocumented workers.’ The most common patrol rifle in the country–the AR-15M4–becomes a ‘weapon of war’ or ‘assault weapon’ or ‘assault style weapon’ — morphing it from a simple tool in common use into some evil device capable of doing bad deeds all on its own. Carbon is morphed from the life and energy giving substance it is (essential to all animal and plant life on the planet) into some dirty thing with the intent of ‘decarbonization’ and ‘net zero’ (which is not only impossible but undesirable).
And colored people become ‘people of color.’ Two phrases which mean and say exactly the same thing and contain nothing offensive. One is arbitrarily classified offensive and the other not. Propagating ‘approved’ ways people should talk. And attempting to classify certain things as ‘hate’ speech or ‘offensive’ in order to manipulate a population.
Which is exactly OPPOSITE the first Amendment and all that we’ve been taught about freedom of speech. An amendment which protects and ENCOURAGES ‘offensive’ or ‘hate’ speech. For the founders well knew the dangers of groupthink and of scaring people into talking a certain way. And that miscreants in an attempt to truncate liberty would attempt to CATEGORIZE some types of speech has hateful or offensive.
As such, we encourage our clients to speak freely, and be wary of ANY source which uses manipulated terms.
We at D-J are colorblind; we celebrate human beings from ALL walks of life and viewpoints. And see them as Americans; not from some racial, ethnic, gender, or social background. Their value comes from their deeds; not whom their father was. And we denounce miscreants who would believe that a person has or has not merit based simply on gender, creed or race. This includes people who intimidate or would attempt to intimidate someone in how they speak.
