A special statement from our managing principals

Most of America was dismayed to learn of the illegal FBI raid on President Trump’s Florida home. This is the type of event that occurs in communist states like the FSU or China. Not in a constitutional republic. And sets a dangerous precedent for our democracy if not immediately challenged. It’s a totalitarian type of action; plain and simple–used by a weaponized type of state-security which acts unconstitutionally and without bounds.

Regardless of how you might feel about Mr. Trump, the fact remains that our FBI at the direction of the US attorney general chose to target him as a political opponent; not due to actual crimes committed. And that this targeting is arbitrary and discriminatory. Hunter Biden has been involved in some shady dealings which are now linked to present administration officials–as well as lying on Federal forms–a felony–alleged drug use, and gallivanting around with hookers. Hillary Clinton mishandled volumes (and perhaps sold) of Top-Secret SCI material yet wasn’t so much as investigated. Eric Swalwell carried on a long term amorous relationship with a Chinese spy; quite likely again revealing sensitive information yet the FBI conducted no meaningful investigation (and certainly not a raid). BLM and ANTIFA activists torched American cities and murdered individuals; again skating (while a few rowdies at an overheated frat party on January 6th who didn’t really do any meaningful damage were thrown in the klink to be held as political prisoners without counsel or bail). And numerous individuals lied under oath during the various trumped-up ‘Russiagate’ nonsense–again they skate.

This obvious double standard is dangerous in that not only is it tyrannical, but also it completely undermines the rule of law and equal protection under the law in our nation. Federal agencies have been weaponized to push an arbitrary executive agenda and persecute dissenters. And now in the recently passed legislation we see another branch of the executive–the IRS–being expanded for use against good American citizens–with a vast expanse of agents having the intention of going after common citizens for trivial and arbitrary ‘violations’. Not to enforce the tax code but to weaponize it for use against opponents and those who might disagree with the regime in power. CDC, EPA, ATF, FBI, IRS, and other alphabet soup agencies not really interested in enforcing the law but targeting American citizens on the whim of a would-be dictator.

We at D-J deal in solutions. And action. This cannot be allowed to continue; our constitutional republic will come apart.

We urge ALL Americans to contact their state governors and state legislators to convene an emergency session of the state legislature with the purpose of bridling such gestappo-like tactics and preserve the constitutional rights of their citizens. We have a massive infrastructure of state and local law enforcement which dwarfs the various Federal agencies; many of whom keenly understand their constitutional oath (and indeed this is the basis of Federalism). Such legislation would plainly state that NO Federal warrant (including IRS seizure of property) could be executed within the state without the adjudication of it in front of a state or local judge or jury (duly following state law), and the tacit endorsement (and cooperation) of state and local law enforcement would be required in order to take any such action. In addition, it would charge state and local law enforcement to protect the rights of the citizens of the state–to the extent of forcibly arresting Federal agents who might attempt such a raid as we witnessed yesterday. We’d suggest this legislation streamline the process by which local individual citizens might be deputized and/or form a posse to repel federal agents who might errantly attack individual citizens like happened yesterday. The state governors not only have the National Guard at their disposal but also a wide range of law enforcement entities backed up by state constitutions and state law. We realize such a law might provide future encumbrances towards legitimate federal law enforcement activities; however, the necessity to protect the rights of our citizens trumps ANY such encumbrances. And it’s not too high a bar to set to require that state and local law enforcement be on board and agree before the feds can take action against a US citizen or entity within their respective jurisdictions.

While yesterday was a sorry day for our Republic, we are confident in the American people and that some good can come out of this.
